Frequently asked questions
- Do I have to come to you, or will you come to me?
- We come to you. That is the whole point of mobile CARB testing. Give us your yard, fleet terminal, farm, home, or job-site address and we roll a fully credentialed tester to that location on your schedule.
- How long does a single test take?
- OBD tests on 2013 and newer engines typically take 15 to 20 minutes per vehicle. OVI opacity tests on 2012 and older engines take 25 to 35 minutes because the procedure includes a visual inspection and multiple smoke readings.
- Can you test an entire fleet in one visit?
- Yes. We regularly test 5 to 50+ vehicles in a single visit. Line the rigs up in your yard, we move through them efficiently, and you get a single consolidated invoice.
- What happens if my vehicle fails?
- We document the failure, explain what likely caused it (MIL codes, OBD readiness issues, excessive opacity, visible defects), and give you a plain-English repair direction. When the vehicle is fixed, we return for a retest.
