Why Northern California fleets choose mobile CARB testing
Driving a heavy-duty diesel across Sacramento or up Highway 99 for a CARB Clean Truck Check is expensive. Fuel, dispatcher time, and the half-day a truck spends out of revenue add up quickly. For larger fleets, taking even one rig out of rotation can cost more than the test itself. For owner-operators, it means losing a paying load.
Mobile testing flips the math. Our credentialed tester comes to your yard, your job site, or your driveway. We run OBD or OVI testing on-site, upload results during the visit, and leave. You stay compliant. The trucks stay working. The schedule stays intact.

What we test
We are credentialed by CARB for the full Clean Truck Check program. That covers:
- OBD testing for diesel engines model year 2013 and newer. Electronic readout, same-day DMV clearance on passes.
- OVI opacity testing for older diesel engines that pre-date OBD. Smoke meter and visual inspection.
- BAR-OIS testing for diesels under 14,000 pounds GVWR.
- Fleet visits ranging from a single rig to 50-plus vehicles in one dispatch.
- RV and motorhome testing at home addresses across the region.
How it works
The mobile testing process is straightforward. Four steps from call to compliant.
Step 1. Call or book online. Tell us the city, the vehicle count, and the engine years. We confirm scope and pricing.
Step 2. We schedule. Most visits are booked within 24 to 48 hours. Same-day service is often available for active DMV holds when called early.
Step 3. Our credentialed tester arrives. OBD scan tool or OVI opacity meter, whichever your engines require. We test each vehicle on-site at your yard, terminal, job site, or home address.
Step 4. Results upload before we leave. For OBD passes, CARB releases compliance to DMV the same business day. We provide a written report and invoice.
That is the whole process. No driving the truck across town. No half-day at a test station.
Where we dispatch in the Sacramento Region
We routinely serve Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, Folsom, Roseville, Elk Grove, Davis, Rancho Cordova, Yuba City, and Chico. Beyond that core, we regularly travel to Lodi, Tracy, Manteca, Vacaville, Auburn, Marysville, Lincoln, Citrus Heights, Carmichael, and the foothill construction corridors.
Our highest service density is along the I-5, I-80, and Highway 99 freight corridors and the industrial districts that feed them: Power Inn Road, McClellan Business Park, Natomas warehouse corridor, the Port of Sacramento, the Port of Stockton, and the Central Valley ag distribution centers.
Same-day DMV hold clearance
For 2013 and newer engines eligible for OBD testing, we upload results electronically during the visit. CARB releases compliance to the DMV the same business day in most cases, which means a registered vehicle under a hold can come off it within hours of the test. If you are under a time-sensitive hold and the registration deadline is looming, call early in the day and we will prioritize.
The fleets we work with
Regional trucking and LTL carriers running Sacramento Valley distribution routes. Construction and grading contractors building foothill housing and downtown commercial. Agricultural haulers and refrigerated produce fleets moving Central Valley crops. Food-service and beverage distribution. Waste, recycling, and street-sweeping fleets across the metro. Municipal and school district fleets. Heavy-duty RV and motorhome owners. Owner-operators with rigs parked at home addresses.
If you operate a diesel above the CARB threshold in Northern California, we work with operators like you every week.
One call, any size fleet
Whether you run a single rig out of an Elk Grove driveway or operate a 50-truck fleet from a Stockton yard, the call is the same. Tell us the location, vehicle count, and engine years. We confirm, schedule, and dispatch. The trucks stay where they belong. You stay compliant.
